Slack Integration

Get real-time video engagement notifications in your Slack workspace. Know instantly when someone views your video, clicks a CTA, or when a campaign launches.

Prerequisites

A Slack workspace where you can install apps.
A Zidi account on the Pro plan.

Connecting Slack

Open the Integrations page from the left sidebar in your Zidi dashboard.
Click Slack.
Click Connect Slack.
Select the Slack workspace and authorize the Zidi app.
You'll be redirected back to Zidi with a success message.

Configuring Notifications

After connecting, you can choose which Slack channel receives notifications and toggle them on or off:

Enable the notifications toggle on the Slack integration page.
Select a channel from the dropdown. Public channels are joined automatically; for private channels, type /invite @Zidi in the channel first.
Click Save Channel Settings.

Notification Types

Event	What You See in Slack
Video Viewed	Viewer email, video title, and watch percentage.
CTA Clicked	Instant notification when a viewer clicks your call-to-action button.
Campaign Launched	Team notification when a personalized video campaign is launched.
Engagement Milestones	Alert when a viewer hits 50%, 80%, or 100% watch — signals high intent.

Channel Selection Tips

Use an existing channel (e.g., #sales-alerts).
Create a dedicated channel (e.g., #zidi-notifications).
Change the channel at any time from the Slack integration page.

Disconnecting

Open Integrations from the left sidebar, click Slack, and click Disconnect Slack. Notifications will stop immediately.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications? — Check that the Zidi app hasn't been removed from your Slack workspace and that notifications are enabled on the integration page.
Wrong channel? — Update the channel from the Slack integration page and save.
Private channel not listed? — Type /invite @Zidi in the private channel first, then reload the channel list.
Too many notifications? — Consider using a dedicated channel with muted notifications.
